Wandering in Paris

Today we slept in a little (but only until 8) and had breakfast in my favorite little patisserie that feels like the inside of a chocolate box.
We spent the morning meandering our way through Pere Lachaise cemetary, my favorite place in Paris.  We stopped by several famous graves, including Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, and Edith Piaf, as well as some others which were absolutely gorgeous.  We met a sweet(ish) black kitty, and saw lots of mistletoe and mockingbirds in the trees.
Then we headed for Sacre Cour, where we had lunch and rode the funicular up to see the church.  There was a little Christmas market in font, so we browsed for a while before heading down to Montmarte to check out the Moulin Rouge.
We stopped at a cafe for coffee and tea before heading to the Louvre to buy my favorite teas at Marriage Freres underneath the pyramid.
It was getting dark, so we walked back to the Eiffel Tower, where we rode the elevator to the very top.  The views are gorgeous at night, but it was windy and absolutely freezing outside, so we enjoyed the views (and a glass of champange) in the observation room.
We were so tired we almost crawled back to out hotel, and then Marc and Allie went out for a romantic dinner.  What a day!
